The Papal Park
The Papal Park was established in a place where Pope John Paul II prayed during his pilgrimage to Poland in 1991. It is now a place of active recreation for the families. It is in close proximity to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which was blessed by the Pope during his visit in Rzeszow. The park has an artificial stream, a stage and the biggest playground in Rzeszow. There are also many laneways with atmospheric lights at night, bridges and various plants. As a fun fact it can be mentioned that the common is one of a few places in Poland where a rare and protected plant - autumn crocus grows.
