The Monument of Tadeusz Nalepa
Tadeusz Nalepa is considered a Father of Polish Blues. He was a famous composer, harmonica player, guitarist and vocalist. He graduated from music school in Rzeszow and he started bands Blackout and Breakout. In later years of his career he also composed under his own name. He died in 2007. To commemorate the artist, the monument was placed on 3-go Maja street in Rzeszow. Nalepa, with windblown hair, wearing a leather jacket and tight trousers and holding a guitar, is walking away from the Fara Church in the direction of Avenue Under the Chestnuts. A music festival in memory of Nalepa - Breakout Days - is held in Rzeszow every year mid-September and its purpose is to promote the band’s music as well as the figure of the artist.
