Summer Palace of Lubomirski
Late -Baroque Rococo style residence located near the Lubomirski castle. Established at the end of the 17th century in the former Ligęza vineyard and served the Lubomirski family as a place of rest and entertainment. The assumption of the then architects was to create a huge garden complex around the castle. The palace only had extensive gardens with the conservatory, a game and a chinese gazebo, which in time were reduced during the expansion of the city. In the 20th century, the building belonged successively to the Kostheim and Nieci families, later the residence was the base of the 10th Cavalry Brigade, headed by Colonel Stanisław Maczek. At that time, the building was also thoroughly restored and rebuilt.
During the Polish People's Republic, the residence served the Provincial Center for Medical Human Resources Improving, and upon the creation of the University of Rzeszów in 2001, the building was rented from the city, among others, to the Institute of Music and Department of Computer Science. In 2013, the estate was recovered and put up the palace for sale. The building was bought by the District Medical Chamber in Rzeszów - it created its headquarters and is the owner to this day.
